The operating system Linux, the browser Firefox, the mail client Thunderbird as well as LibreOffice with the programmes Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Base and Math are pre-installed. The operating system looks like Windows XP and is better protected against viruses than the competition from Microsoft and Apple.

4 GB of RAM are more than enough for Linux applications. 64 GB capacity of the eMMC, which is faster than any normal hard disk, is not little, but a lot of storage space in the context of a Linux system that consumes about four times less storage space than Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. So 4 GB RAM and a 64 GB eMMC with Linux is roughly equivalent to 16 GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD with Windows.

And with access to Google Drive or Dropbox, you can scale your storage as you need it - and access your data with all the mobile and stationary devices you have. Of course, you can also access an external hard drive via USB with the AURUM mini-computer.

In addition to a LAN connection, a WLAN module, an HDMI connection and even an AV connection for old televisions that can be used as a screen for the AURUM Mini Computer are also built in.
