Although the HypTech Elefant eBike was designed for the international market, this model complies with all EU standards. The battery is limited to 250 watts, and in the EU version this has reduced the base speed – without the rider pedalling – to the prescribed 25 km/h. Internationally, the speed is 45 km/h, which is what this e-bike was originally designed for. If you wish to export the e-bike, it takes just a few simple steps to restore the full, non-EU-compliant performance.
You’ll sit extremely comfortably on the extra-wide saddle. The maximum load capacity is 150 kg, and the e-bike is designed to carry two people. If necessary, this bike can accommodate not just a gazelle, but even an elephant!
